Please join us at Southside Community Center’s Art in Color monthly exhibit as 7 year old artist Rosario Chloe Williams presents her latest work.
The work will be on display for the entire month of April, but please join us for a reception on Friday, April 12th at 5-6 p.m.
Light refreshments and drinks will be provided…cupcakes by the wonderful LaLa SweetTooth!
Rosario began making handmade paper dolls for herself and her loved ones as companions when they were feeling lonely. She was motivated by a round cardboard piece from a frozen pizza that was amongst the weekly recyclables. She considers herself an abstract artist that likes to work with paper especially. She is inspired by her immediate family of artists, and makes work until ” it is perfect, perfect to me.”
A few staff members & some community members from the Southside will be joining together to participate in this years “Tough Turtle” 5K Adventure Race, happening on April 20th along the Cayuga Waterfront & Black Diamond Trails. Come cheer us on (if you can), and celebrate with us at the finish line (if we can, lol). For more information on this exciting event please visit http://www.toughturtleithaca.com
